Your roads

A year and a half from a sketch to final render, what a ride! I genuinely put my all in this fan work because my love for the W.I.T.C.H. fandom is really strong.
In this art, I fantasized about what would'e happened if the events in the comic were painted in a slightly darker tone while keeping the canon flow of the story safe and decided to depict what my imagination showed me. I also wrote a little poem for this one in an attempt to strenghen the impression I tried so hard to input in this illustration:

Your roads

"Let my love burn brighter than any flame,
On your flags the place for it long burnt away
Don’t you beg, don’t pretend, don’t misrepresent:
I intended it for you by accident."

When you're all alone and the moon's only witness
Grind your teeth, minding day as a sickness
You despise the sunlight and don't care what is true -
That’s why all paths are painted in crimson for you.”
